Esteban pushed the angle's tile. It dipped in the wall with a noise of rocks brushing against, and remained there. But nothing else happened.
Nothing happened when Esteban touched the pictures... -I have no idea, but we have to try something else... and quickly!
They couldn't waste more time... -The answer must be in the text, we just have to find it.
Ok..so the tile moved...next mumbled Esteban looking into the words of the wall and checking the tiles for comparision, next was the devil and next the turban and for the dessert the clouds so Esteban pushed all of the tiles as he was seeing it on th extrange pattern, looking for any response into the room...the water was starting to get him nervous...scratch that..he was fucking terrified....
Nick was surprised at first when the tile started to move. He decided to move then too in order not to drown. So he furiously hit them: the devil (g4), the star (c1), the ángel (a1) that was already pushed (, the princess (b4), the turban (d3), the trees (a2) and the clouds (g4). Hitting all of them, one after the other as a devil or a whirlwind.
The tiles dipped again, in the order in which they were pushed. They become to their first places, but nothing changes.
"Maybe it's a different order", said Abigail, shivering.
The water it's now near your waistline.
She's right! - says Bruce, referring to Abigail - We must press them in the right order!
So Bruce moves towards the stones, and presses them in order:
First, the Angel... - says in low voice, and presses the Angel (A1)
Then, the Princess... - and presses the Crown symbol (B4)
Third, the Birds... - and pushes the Bird symbol (F3)
Fourth comes the Demon... - and touches the Devil (G4)
The Trees go fifth... - and pushes the Tree (A2)
The Turban is next... - and touches the Turban symbol (D3)
Stars come sixth... - and presses the Star (C1)
And last come the Clouds... - and pushes the Cloud (G4)
If this doesn't work, I'm definitely out of ideas! - says Bruce while stepping back from the button panel, while waiting for it to work.
In case Bruce's order doesn't work, Nick woul push then in the inverse one, in order to invert the story.
(Good idea Bruce!)
Ey nice thinking anyways smiled Esteban trembling and jumping a little to heat his body against the cold water of the room; it was starting to became a very problematic situation, fortunately there was people with very good ideas among them, the soon they ended this it would be for the best.
The tiles moved, pushed by Bruce. A sound of a huge stone door falling filled all the room, and the water stop to fall suddenly.
"You guessed it right!" screamed Abigail.
Something draged under the floor, and a drain in the very center of the room began to swallow all the water. When all the water was off, all of you could see the drain, a square piece of metal, hidden beneath one floor tile.
One of you tried to open it: the metal opened up easily with a high-pitched sound, revealing a spiral staircase.
As Bruce was pushing the tiles, i could only hope it worked... And it did! Everyone could react quickly, but I could do nothing but point at a couple of tiles. I heaved a sight, with a mix between disappointment and relief.
-Woah!- I shouted, as the water level went down- Well done, Bruce!
When we tried to move the square-shaped metal in the ground, it opened very easily.
-So... Who goes first?
-Bruce, you saved us! Thank you very much. Tommy was really happy at the moment. He didin't help solving the puzzle, but at least the magic mirror was useful.
Now that they had found a staircase, next move was pretty clear. -I will go first this time said Tommy, who started walking down the stairs...
Hey, no problem, guys. Just doing what I thought of first. - said Bruce to his new friends.
I'll go after you, Tommy. - said then.
While walking down the stairs, bruce couldn't help to think that if he was going to spend time with these boys, he must definitely was going to need to know them better. So, he asked:
So... Where are you all from? I'm from England. Although you've probably already guessed that from my accent, didn't you? - and he laughed a bit.
Thats was totally cool man, thanks and nice job smiled Esteban more than happy that the water was retiring and they have another room to go, this place was already creepy enough without the water and in all honesty he was afraid of being catching a cold in this damn room.
humn..perhaps a little light mussed Esteban raising his stone so the light it generates helps the child party to go downstairs without any adittional accidents, enough dangerous the place was already to tempt destiny.
Now you mention it shrugged Esteban he was from detroit I am from USA
- Scott I am - add Nick coldly as he started to go down the stairs. He didn't want to show the other children how afraid he had been, although anyone would have seen his anger attack hitting the stones with his little punches as a show of fear rather than anger.
-I'm from a small village... It's near London... If i remember it well...- I said. I had never looked for my village in a map, actually. It's something i would have to do when i got back home. But instead of thinking more about home and getting nostalic, i continued going downstairs.
Abigail was the last child in the room. While she was going down the staricase she was listening to his new friends.
"Really? I've always wanted to visit London. My mun's from England too, but I'm from New Zealand, like kiwis!!"she said."I hope the new place is warmer, because the water was too cold."
