Playing the game
Well, at the end of the day is a RPG and we have played some of them ;). Some details about "the system"
Skill checks: Roll the dice and if the result is less or equal of the skill checked you have succeded.
Bonus/Penalty: It's a common sense directed system. It never mind that you have a 99% firearm skill if you are firing an alien weapon, you will have a penalty because you don't have enough experience with that kind of weapon. On the other hand, if you have a 40% in your melee weapon skill and you're using your tactical knife you will have a bonus because of your experience. Your skills will be treated as base and then modified according with your experience.
Critical hits and fumbles: a natural roll of 01 is a greater critical hit, a natural roll of 02 is a lesser critical hit, a 99 is a lesser fumble and a 100 is a greater fumble.
And more or less it's the idea... practice some English and enjoy.
Be prepared to cross the gate, chevrons are being encoded right now!
Hit points
The formula applied to your hit points calculation is:
((60 -age) + physical skills) / 2
Levels
2 -> 1000
3 -> 2000
4 -> 4000
5 -> 8000
It would be tough to level up, but here you are the experience points (XP) required to achieve a new level, just in case.
Dialing the Stargate.
To dial a stargate address you need to introduce a 7 glyphs sequence in the dialer device. To simplify the process you are going to select an ordered sequence of 7 numbers each one representing a glyph. Here you're the glyphs of the SGC stargate
If you are in other planet the glyphs can be unordered and the tauri glyph (number 1) it's going to be changed by the planet origin glyph
