When I saw those men I realized that we weren't facing to just normal "beasts". Aliens could provoke any injuries we could imagine and I had to be prepared for any situation.

"I understand the situation. I'm sure you will save these men and hopefully we will find Kathia so they can be together again".

The picture of the Goa'uld reminded me of some kind of eel but uglier and I think my face showed that I didn't like them very much...

"Yeah... They are really handsome but I think they will look prettier inside those containers haha. Well, thank you for everything Janet! I will tell you everything when I came back".

I changed my clothes and hurried to the armory. I felt very out of place with this kind of clothes and these weapons around me. I decided to take the knife and the Baretta. The other gun looked too difficult for me.

"I've never shoot a gun... I will take this one just in case but I think I leave all this shoot work to my military mates. I am better at healing bullet wounds than provoking them".

After that I went to the gate room with the rest of the team. Until that moment everything had hapenned very fast that I hadn't have many time to think but now, standing in front of that gate, time stopped. I started to think about how my life had changed in just a few days. I would explore new planets, discover new races. I would travel through the outter space and that was amazing.

Suddenly a voice sounded. It was the time, the gate started to work and I was too amazed that I coulnd't almost move myself. After a few seconds the gate was completly activated and the blue light illuminated the whole room. I looked to my mates with shining eyes and said

"Well, our trip begin now. Are you ready?".

Suddenly, the MALP moved to the stargate with a robotic like sound of the caterpillar tracks on the ramp

"Sending MALP to P5X-984" Shouted the megaphone system.

The probe climbed slowly the ramp and crossed the stargate.

"MALP will arrive to its destination in 5...4...3...2...1....Landing. We are receiving telemetry.... we can see the first MALP next to the monolyth, it seems to be OK but it doesn't respond to the remote control. " Shouted the megaphone system

After a tense moment the megaphone system continued talking

"There isn't any hostile contact in P5x-984 and the weather condition is good. There aren't any changes from the  images taken by our first MALP"

General Hammond and Captain Latimer went down to the gate room. General Hammond talked to Major Davis

"Major you have a go. Bring her back if she is there and be careful... dial home when you arrive and report in two day's time"

Major Davis looked at the military part of the team and said

"Time to go team. Smith, Jenkins  you are going to establish a defensive position around the door, be prepared for opening fire at my mark. Latimer, inspect the dial home device to check if it's viable to call home."

"Doctor Byrne, Doctor Davis you must wait until it's safe to cross the door"

"Let's move out team!"

He crossed the disc and suddenly he dissapeared through the event horizon

Amazing. The whirlwind that suddenly came out from the gate was the last I expected to see. A kind of sea appeared floating into the Stargate. Major Davis was the first to move and after giving us clear instructions for when we arrived to the other side, he cross the gate and disappeared in front of our eyes.

That was not the moment to doubt and I started to walk towards the gate. I stopped a second in front of the floating water, closed my eyes and I gave a last step out the Earth and into the unknown.

Captain Latimer played with the event horizon, moving her hand through it, feeling the energy around and enjoying the feeling. Then she said

"My turn. Let's go Sergeant... "

She removed the trigger lock preparing her weapon to open fire.

Rock and roll, It's time to play. I'm hearing the song on my head. Preparing my self to action.

I heard the Major command and nodded him. I removed the trigger lock, ready to fire. I was going to enter at rear. So my hand went automatically to my waist to cheked the Knife. I had to be ready to melee combat. I waited the both doctor to enter the ring and I went just behind them.

With thunderous step through the ring submerging me in a watery corridor that gave speed of vertigo. Until I got to the other side.

Both Doctors were waiting for their turn when they heard the radio transmition

"SGC, SGC, Major Davis Speaking. Please, stand by while we are checking the dial home device"

Time was passing by and Doctor Byrne and I didn't receive any instructions. What if something had happened on the other side? I felt the urge to cross and see what was going on there, but I knew it wasn't a good idea.

In that moment a voice sounded. We had to wait a bit more but at least now I knew that everything was okay.

Major General Hammond listened to the message from Major Davis and said

"Understood Major. They are in their way. Gate team send the FRED's, Doctor Byrne, Doctor Mallory tou have a go. Good luck and remember that you must follow Major Davis' orders"

Both 2 FRED carriers went through the gate appearing in perfect condition on the other side.

Keiran and Mallory were afraid of walking across the blue mirror of the event horizon but they gathered strengths in the most deep of their hearts to walk to the unknown.

Their bodies went at light speed, or could have they travelled faster?, and they arrived to the other planet suffering all the side effects that doctor Frasier has told them.
 

EPILOGUE

When Mallory and Keiran crossed the gate they felt the same sensation of ingravity and dizziness that they experimented in their first trip, but now they were alone. Their military mates were missing in action and the future of Lieutenant Jenkis wasn't clear at all due to his decission to help the locals against the tyrant God unarmed.

After crossing the gate a sudden freezing sensation chilled them deeply. It was really cold there, 30 or 40 degrees below 0 and the security squad that were pointing their weapons to the door were wearing heavy jackets for polar climates. After checking that there wasn't any threat for the security of the base a soldier throw them two jackets to cover and try to warm themselves.

The activity was frantic. Teams of workers were trying to repair the door and the circuits surrounding. The control room was packed of technicians and everybody were doing his job as quick as possible because it seemed that everything was out of control. 

An airman took you to a conference room were General Hammond, Doctor Frasier and three knew people that were presented as Colonel Jack O'Neil, Majror Samantha Carter and Daniel Jackson and according to their badges they were members of the SG-1.

General Hammond went straight to the point asking for details of the situation of the rest of the team. After a short interview General Hammond congratulated them for their bravery and exited in order to organize an assault team to rescue the missing men of SG-21.

When you were alone in the room Doctor Frasier updated you about what the hell had happened since your last contact. Doctor Frasier figured out how to erradicate the virus from the base but the cost was really high. The virus had a weakness against cold so they lowered the base temperature to kill the organism down to 60 degrees below zero. They use liquid nitrogen through the base but in that process all the systems of the base were frozen and they needed to reinstall from scratch.

8 hours later, computers and gate circuits were fixed and the assault team assembled in the door room. The chevrons of P5X-984 were dialed from the control room and the gate veered clockwise to lock the 7-symbol sequence but unexpectedly the seventh chevron didn't get locked. Several attempts were made but the gate remained closed and the men were treated as missing in action. A military funeral were made 2 months later and empty coffins were sended to the space in their honors. Keiran was transfered to SG-11 as the archaelogist leader and Mallory was transfered to SG-12 as the leader of the team.

Three years later SG-1 contacted a group of Goau'lds rebels called the Tok'ra and they give them the means to revisit the planet using a Ha'tak, one Goa'uld mothership under their control with hyperspeed capacity. When they arrived to the planet they discovered that the locals had established a new civilization beyond the jamming zone and they were happy and free at the cost of 15% of the entire population of her people, including Jean and Eponine Valjean. Cozzette was a wise leader that ordered to bury the stargate and avoid receiving a new invasion. 

Meanwhile, Khepri had the problem that his labour force had fleed and their guards killed him gaining the control of the prison Jenkins and Smith. Due to the intervation of the Tok'ra the Goa'ulds inside them were erradicated and Jenkins and Smith returned to the Earth as humans and were licensed from the Air Force with honors.

The earth was safe, but Goau'lds would attack soon.....
