You can choose the sentence:
1- I woke up to knocking on glass... I thought it was the window until I heard the sound come from the mirror again...
2- My wife [or daughter, husband, whatever you want] woke me up last night to tell me she heard a noise...
So, you have to pick one, and write the rest of the story.
Good luck! :D
My wife woke me up last night to tell me she heard a noise. I went with her to the place where the noise came from. She pointed to the kitchen’s door. I looked through the window, but I couldn’t see anything. Thus, I decided to go into the kitchen. There’s nobody.
My daughter took my hand, and smiled to me. I opened the window of the kitchen, and the cold wind touched my face. Nobody was here. My daughter neither.
I don’t have daughter anymore. She died two months ago. But, she stayed there, with me. I could even smell her hair. My little Sarah.
I closed my eyes, and I open them again. Really, she was gone. I don’t know why, but I looked for her for a moment, as if the weird thing was that she mustn’t stay here.
I miss her. A lot.
Well, I wrote a horror story, muahahhahahaaha XDXDXDDXD I hope you enjoy it :P
I woke up to knocking on glass... I thought it was the window until I heard the sound come from the mirror again...
My Reflection was there, waiting for me, her smile inviting and warm, as so many times before. Again, I doubted. I had responsibilities, hadn't I? There were people who would notice if I was gone, weren't there? I was...well, maybe I couldn't say that I was important, but I had a place and things that I had to do. At the other side there was only a mirage. Enticing and attractive, even more so because I knew it wasn't for me. I put my hand over hers, and I could feel her warmth, even at the other side of cristal. I didn't know when was the last time a touched somebody that way.
"I can't" I wanted to say. But I didn't. Instead, my fingers pushed through the barrier, linking with hers. "I'm coming", I hear my voice saying.
I woke up to the knocking on glass... I thought it was the window until I heard the sound come from the mirror again... When I looked, I did not see my own reflection but a strange and unknown image. It had the shape of a beautiful fairy creature trapped inside a cage made of glass. Her pale skin was pressed against the other side of the mirror, her blue eyes gazing fearfully at me, her hands desperately searching for a scratch or opening in the cold surface and her mouth half-open screaming for help although no sound was heard.
Ever since I had purchased this strange mirror from the weird antique shop I had regretted it. At first, the looking glass had been hazy and the reflection distorted. But then the mysterious sound had started, and now this. I wanted to return the thing and get by money back, but the shop had closed. Vanished into thin air.
I looked at the image again. I did not want to accept there was a living and breathing creature trapped on the other side for ever. But when I looked into her eyes, I knew it was so. I made up my mind, and grabbed a hammer to free her or to end her cruel misery. But just as I was about to smash the mirror to a million pieces, I noticed a small inscription on the base.
Trapped for all eternity
a frozen image for all to see
the way out can only be
through a vision of infinity.
The rhyme was awful, but then it occurred to me. I ran to the basement to look for something. When I came back up the stairs, I was breathing heavily and carrying a huge box, about the size of a man. Inside, there was another mirror. The one I had removed when refurnishing. The one which was going to be replaced by the damned cursed antique one.
Vision of Infinity
I carefully opened the box and placed the mirrors one facing the other. The surface of the mysterious mirror became water-like. And then, a slender hand emerged through the looking glass.
My sister woke me up last night to tell me she heard a noise.
-You, silly goose, of course you had heard a noise. We are in a hotel, do you remember?
-I heard it inside the room. Listen!
I tried to hear but I did't hear anything
-Please, I want to sleep. Tomorrow we will have to walk all day if we want to see all the monuments.
And I closed my eyes and I tried to fall sleep again. But then I heard it too. It was a little hoarse sound and it came from the closet. When we arrived at the room, we were so tired that we went directly to the bed. We didn't undo our suitcases and we didn't open the closet.
My sister and I got up carefully. We tried not to do a single noise. We came out of the room and then we ran until we arrived at the reception desk.
The receptionist called the security guy and he went to our room. There was a drunken man sleeping inside the closet. Nobody could explain how he got there and he didn't remember neither.
Since that day, the first thing I do when I arrive at a hotel room is to open the closet and check if it is empty.
