Choctaw started moving towards the closes building holding his Colt Bisley. Jack carefully followed and he was holding his artillery: his trusted Winchester 1866 rifle. Jack was more used to scouting the wilderness and walking in the shadows than his gunslingin' compadre. As he walked, he was checking the surroundings to make sure there were no banditos on the look out.

Once they'd reached the first building, Jack could locate the other ruins in the night. As they sneaked forward, they could hear Alacran greeting someone in a loud voice in Spanish, and soon enough there was laughter and hooraw coming from the ruins further away. There were maybe half a dozen men holing up at the Old Fort.

Notas de juego

Sneaking skill check gentlemen. Sneaking skill: Choctaw 94% Dekker 88%. The difficulty is Average so +40%. The objective is to roll 1d100 and higher than your skill level. So in "Motivo" put Sneaking, Modifier 40, target more or equal than "difficulty" which is your current skill level (94 Choctaw, Dekker 88).

If successful, you make no noise to get to the building, if failed, I roll to see if someone hears you.

Once you reach the first building, you can prepare some sort of a plan.

Choctaw Lee*

The night was very dark, no one could even suspect what was going to happen. The banditos were laughing and enjoying, but Choctaw Lee was willing to transform that laugh in screams of pain.

With his  famous Colt Bisley on his cold hands -almost as cold as his soul- he starts to walk towards the building. Jack and Choctaw knew that for the plan to succeed it was very important to get quickly and unnoticed to a good position.  So he begins to walk very quietly, and with a dark smile on his face while he imagines the horror expressions on the banditos faces.

This mission was important for him, because if those thieves die, that would mean more prestige and benefits for Choctaw, as he assures the trust of Mr Bronson.

Alacran rode into the Old Fort, and was received by the Romero men. It was time to make a stand, to finish the job. He was greeted as one of the cattle banditos, and they were all smiles and laughter. But soon enough, there was going to be a blood bath here…

The Mexican took his small ukulele-type guitar from the saddle bag. And in the darkness, he smiled.

Shadows in the night. Predators on a hunt. That was all they were as they reached closes ruin, and knelt known. The ruins cast strange shadows, and they could almost feel the presence of ghosts of the men who had served and died here before. This place had seen blood before, and it would see blood again tonight.

They could hear noises from different parts of the abandoned fort. Alacran had arrived. A shiver of anticipation went through the men, and a coyote howled somewhere in the distance as if it was greeting the ghosts that had awakened.

Jack and Choctaw had their guns ready, and a few moments to prepare a plan. They could attack together, or from different direction to cause more confusion. There were a few campfires, two in the main area and one in a different ruin. But the rest was in darkness. Even with the campfire, shooting was not as easy as in daylight. And there were too many banditos to waste bullets.

Notas de juego

The positions are approximate. You are on the left, behind the first building. The Mex at the closest ruin looks as if he is going to move to the main area, but you don´t know if he is guarding and moving around the area. The orange circles give an idea of the area lit by the campfires. Shooting into that area would have -1 penalty, shooting from inside the circle into the darkness -3 or more. The horses are kept further away.

Choctaw Lee*

The banditos were easily seen at distance because of the campfires, while Jack and Choctaw remains at the dark, like ghosts, like predators hunting their prey. That was what they were... predators in the night.

Jack and Choctaw were thinking for the best way to attack, when an idea come to cold killer:

-If we remain in the dark and keep moving they are not gonna be able to shoot us. Lets attack first that lonely Mex, and when the others come to see what happen, we start to shoot them. But remember all the time we need to be protected by the darkness of the night. What do you think Jack?

-Poor little birds, singing and laughing so calm. I almost feel bad about them... Na so reckless people deserves to die. He thought, with his eyes in the banditos, while he waits the answer of his fellow.

- Alacran is with them waiting. While I start to shoot them bringing their atention to this ruins, you could run in the shadows and join Alcaran to start the shotting from behind. I am good at shooting at long distances, but I know you like to be more close to start shooting as a crazy man. - smiles Jack in the shadows.

This was going to be a bloodbath, but they need to be sure that blood weren't going to be their. And one thing he learnt in the army is that flanking move can be devasting if done properly.

Choctaw Lee*

Choctaw was lost in his thoughts when he came back to earth interrupted by the words of Jack. The idea of flanking the bandidos was really good, in that way they were going to be more confused and disoriented. But what Choctaw liked most was the idea of using his famous Colt Bisley for what he does best. Shooting like a crazy man. It could be said that in moments like this he really transforms in a crazy guy, gun fights had that effect on Choctaw, but probably that´s the main reason of why he survived a lot of them.

With a dark smile in his face he replied to Jack.-Sounds good to me, lets go to kill some fucking Mex!!

He starts moving in the shadows to get in position and wait the moment to attack. The signal would be easy to identify, he only needs to wait until Jack starts to shoot. And then the show time will start.

As Choctaw moves, Jack raises slowly his rifle aiming at the lone mex's head.

Before pull the trigger Jack knows that man is already dead, only he still doesn't know it.

Jack aimed his rifle carefully, and Choctaw started moving towards his target just as the first chords of Alacran´s guitar started playing...

The stars were shining brightly in the night sky above the dessert as Alacran played his song.

En la noche tan hermosa
Que viajaba el pistolero
El caballo regreso
Solito a el pueblo

Alacran del desierto
Sin saber mataste a un hombre bueno

Somewhere in the surrounding darkness, his compadres were getting closer. The Mexican outlaw could fee a tingle on his fingertips as they danced on the chords. Soon enough, he would play another instrument...

His beloved Rosanna, his one true companion. The sawed-off shotgun was ready for action beneath the poncho he was wearing.

En la uno la pistola
En la otra el alacran
El pistolero ya no defenderá

The music was in crescendo, and some of the Romero men were singing along... and then

BANG!!
