The prices of the items are not hiked by inflation or anything, so there is very little margin. With a successful Salesmanship roll you could get 10-20% off. Your bonus is 73%, so you need to roll more than that. If you purchase goods for over $10, to get $1 discount is Average (+40% to you roll), and 20% discount is Difficult (+0% to the roll).
-So, what do you have ´re?, the shopkeeper asked looking at the black man carrying diferent weapons and other items for sale.
List the items you wish to sell. The standard is half prize of the sale value of the item if in good condition. You can roll salesmanship for the list to get a better price (10%-20% same difficulty as before). Roll once for all the items of the post, not per item. The broken guns you can also try to get repaired if you wish to use them yourself.
What carbine is better? Spencer, Winchester .38 or Winchester .40?
Is the 690 Scabbard, Carbine $3,00 for horses or it would fit on human back?
I will buy a belt and 2 holster (1 for each leg) , but I don't know the differences between each of three.
I will buy:
- 155 Compass, plain pocket $1,10
Winchester .40 or Winchester Carbine .38 or Spencer Carbine:
Spencer Carbine is valued at $21.50. It fires 7 shots, d8+1 damage and 0 Accuracy range is 70 feet. Target 200 feet away is -4. The barrel length is 30”. Draw modifier +3
Winchester Carbine .38 costs $32.50. It fires 12 shots, damage d6+1. The barrel is 20”. The range is similar to the Spencer Carbine. Draw modifier +1 so it is quicker to get out than the Spencer.
Winchester 1866 .40 rifle, with 28” octagon barrel. 12 shots, d10+1 damage. Slightly better range (90 feet is 0 modifier, adn for instance 200 feet distance is -3). Draw modifier +3. Valued at $32.95
I think Winchester Carbine is better than the Spencer, even though Spencer does more damage. If you wish to have a gun on your back, Winchester Carbine or Spencer. The rifle .40 Winchester model 1866 has a longer barrel, but is a very good weapon.
Regarding scabbard, you can fit a Carbine+scabbard on your back. Rifle is a bit long for that I guess.
Gun belt
Holster, hip shooting: you can hip shoot (without drawing the gun out). Basically, there is a hole and you can see the gun barrel.
Holster, quick draw: it is placed lower on the leg, and can be drawn with -1 speed bonus. But they are not very convenient since the gun can easily fall out.
Holster, spring-sleeve: for Derringer and small fire arms
Holster, standard: normal holster
