Rico puts his gun to the holster, and waits a few more seconds before coming out. He looks at Alacran, and his face shows different emotions. Anger, sadness... Frustration. -We could have changed things, amigo. We could have killed the cattle barons! We could have taken back what is OURS! For the pueblo, for the raza. For Mexico, you know?
He took a few steps sideways.
-Now there is nothing left. Only muerte...
And then he realized something. Alacran was showing his right hand close to his Colt, with his poncho thrown over his left shoulder. But beneath the cloth, he was holding on to something... The shotgun!!
Alacran raises the shotgun, and points and blasts away before Rico can get his gun out.
BOOOOM!!!
Once again, "Rosanna" sings a song of death from point blank range, sending Rico flying to the ground. A dozen pellets have hit him, and the once proud Mexican warrior has become a bloody pulp that is difficult to recognize as a human being.

Jack shoots Salvador in the back, and the Mexican falls down.
He can feel the bullet is lodged inside, and he is spitting blood... There must be internal bleeding. Slowly, the sharpshooter gets closer. -Madre de dios, santa barbara, santisima trinidad, he starts praying. He knows his time has come.

The Romero gang is finished... Rico and Enrique Romero are dead, and so is Hector. Salvador is about to be finished by Jack. Rodrigo is unconscious, and Choctaw is hurt in the shoulder.
The Old Fort Gunfight had only taken a few minutes, but the blood spilled tonight would not wash away in a long time. Bronson had taken his revenge on the Mexican rebels, as he promised he would.
Please confirm what you do with Rodrigo, and I guess you will head back to Bronson ranch?
No witnesses means nobody to get revenge, and one more death doesn't matter when your hands are already full of blood.
Now it's time to come back to the ranch.
A bottle of whiskey is waiting for them.
It will not clean the blood but will help to forget about it.

CON 12 (NORMAL)
WOUND 10 HP => severity 5 => infection risk vs CON (OK)
Properly cleaning and dressing wounds in a timely manner generally within an hour can mitigate the chance of infection. For every 10% over the minimum necessary 10 successfully make this skill check (Easy for Nursing and Trivial for Medicine), the wounded character may subtract 1 from the 2d10 roll.
EASY NURSING & TRIVIAL MEDICINE => NOPE...
If it is determined that a wound is infected, the affected character must make a Constitution check two days
later to fight off the resultant disease. This check is made against 2d8.
A successful check results in the character having to endure a mildly debilitating illness for I d3 weeks during which time he suffers a temporary penalty of - 2 to his Strength, Dexterity and Constitution abilities. Failure, however, indicates that the wound has become grossly infected. If the injury is to an extremity such as an arm or leg, it will be necessary to amputate the limb, If the infection is endemic to the torso or head, the character will die of sepsis within 2d 12 days.
BL => Bullet Lodged. This encompasses only those bullets too deeply impacted for a lay person to easily
remove. While not absolutely mandatory to treat, lodged bullets represent a serious infection threat. A day after sustaining
the wound, the character must make a Constitution check versus half his score. If unsuccessful, the wound has begun to fester.
BB => A broken bone requires a much longer recovery time, typically a number of days equal to 60+2d8 minus twice .he character's Constitution score. Until the bone is healed, all penalties of the wound continue to apply.
Choctaw got up from the ground and lit a smoke while he watched Jack and Alacran finish off the Mexican bandits. His left shoulder hurt like hell. That bloody Rico had really got him good, the bastard. Carefully, he opened his jacket. The wound did not look good. The bullet was lodged inside, and there were broken bones. -C´mon, time to get back, he said to his pals and threw away the cigarette.
There was nothing he could do. Not here. None of the three knew a thing about nursing or medicine. If the bullet festered, or the would got infected, he was as good as dead.
Well, I ought to find out soon ´nough.
